A Sad Day at Goodwife Farm..........

I didn't feel like blogging this until now, but............

We lost our little Brandy on Wednesday.  She has suffered from seizures for a couple years now and one took her that she just couldn't fight.  I'm glad she isn't suffering any more and that we were able to be here to ease her suffering instead of prolong it.

I miss her.  She always lay between my legs in the recliner of an evening.  I keep thinking I hear her little bark and find myself looking for her.  I dreamed about her last night, that she ran into the living room, but I was the only one that could see her.

We'll miss you little girl...............you gave us 8 years of love and devotion and I'm thankful that you picked me.

God Bless...................

  4. I am so sorry for your lost. We lost our dog Charlotte almost two years ago to what we thought was a stroke. We ended her suffering. She was 16 or 17 years old. She was a sweet kid.

Lots of love. And tissue. I can't hardly talk about it without crying.

  5. Oh! we're so sorry for your loss. We understand the pain. Here is something that always makes me feel better when an animal we love passes.

    The Rainbow Bridge

There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth. It’s called The Rainbow Bridge, because of it’s many color. Just this side of the bridge is a land of meadows, hills and valleys, filled with lush grasses.

When a beloved pet dies, the pet goes to this place. There is always food, water and warm Spring weather. The old and frail animals are young again. These who were maimed are made whole again. They play all day with each other.

There is only one thing missing. They are not with the special person who loved them here on Earth. So each day they run and play until the day when suddenly the play stops and all look up! The noses twitches, the ears are up and alert and eyes staring. Then one runs from the group. You have been seen and when you and your special friend meet, you take them in your arms and embrace. Your face is kissed again and again as you look once more into the eyes of your beloved pet.

Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together, never again to be separated.

HUGS to you and your family

  7. Awe, I'm so sorry! That's one thing about it... dogs aren't pets, they are family! When people steal them, they don't realize they are stealing family members. And when they go to be with the Lord, it's just like losing a family member. I'm so sorry and if there's anything I can do, please by all means, let me know!
