19 Years...........

19 years ago today I married my best friend.....

We stood before God and our families and joined our lives together into one flesh.....

It's a commitment we take very seriously and one we feel shouldn't be entered into lightly.  I do not think it is a random act that marriage is first mentioned in the book of Genesis chapter 2 verse 24.

We strive for a Biblical marriage and pray for The Youngun to have one someday as well.

I'm so thankful God brought us together and it's been a joy to grow older with this man!

I'm thankful for every day God has given us, and every day He will grant us in the future, and I'm thankful beyond words to know that when we draw our last breath here in this fleeting life, we'll be together again in Heaven.

So thankful that though we don't get to choose how our lives go here on earth, we do get to choose who we go through them with.  I'm thankful The Man chose me, and more thankful that we both chose Him....

Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  Genesis 2:24

Till next time....

Funny How That Worked Out..........

When I was a little girl I wanted nothing more than to marry a cowboy (I was always partial to bulldoggers cuz they were big guys) and live on a real ranch in Montana.  I had a two posters of half nekkid cowboys on my bedroom wall. (Who didn't though right?)

Pay no mind to the little cowgirl.  That is a little girl we babysat for.  She called my folks mom and dad and her folks by their first names, and I had to do my best to corrupt her!
I used to write the Montana tourism folks and they would send me packets of information on life in Montana.  I used to have dreams about it, one dream in particular that I was living on a ranch in Montana with my cowboy husband and I called my mom because I needed to know how to roast a ham.

Well I happened to fall in love with a butcher (he was irresistible in that white apron that framed his adorable little booty), who became a Schwans man, who became a trash man, who climbed the ranks and became a big boss man, who lost his job and worked at a factory, who hated that and became what??

a COWBOY

where???

in MONTANA!
Louis L'Amour would be so disappointed in how he skylined himself, but it made for a great shot!

He doesn't wear a cowboy hat, and he doesn't wear cowboy boots.  He works cows with a dirt bike and a flat bed pickup instead of a horse, but he's a cowboy all the same.  I've always been so thankful and proud to be his woman, no matter what job he was working, but a couple days ago I remembered those old dreams and thought.......

Huh.....it's funny how that worked out!

Oh how I love this sexy man!!

Till next time..........God Bless!

15 Years........

15 years ago we became one flesh.  Each day my love for you has grown, swelling inside my heart until sometimes I feel it will break.  Sometimes, I cry because the pain of loving you so fully encompasses my heart and I feel as if I will explode with emotion.  God gave me to you, to be your wife and I feel so fulfilled because I am your woman.  The very first time I saw you, my heart leapt inside because it recognized you as my man.  You mean more to me than I can ever express.

My partner, my lover,
My husband, my friend,
To be together,
With you to the end,
Is my greatest desire,
My hearts only wish.
Our souls have known each other
For millions of years.
I pray for many more lifetimes of loving you!

Happy 15th Anniversary to The Man, My Man, My Best Friend!

Here are 15 things about The Man and the Goodwife, one for each year we've had together...

1)  The Man's full legal name is initials.  Just initials and then our last name.  He doesn't have a "real name".

2)  My first name is after my Great-Great Grandma on my mom's side and my middle name is after my grandma on my mom's side.

3)  The Youngun isn't named after any family members, but her middle name is after a Canadian rocker who just had a baby boy on Christmas Day.

4)  Since our first date, The Man and I have never spent a night apart..........not once.

5)  Our entire marriage folks have been saying to us......just wait until you've been married 2 years....5 years....7 years.....10 years.....12 years, meaning we won't be as in love and desirous of spending so much time together.  We are still waiting.......

6)  We work on our marriage every single day.  We don't let stuff slide to the side.  We've watched marriages fall apart and we are smart enough to know how it happens.  We are both very committed to keeping ours strong and healthy.

7)  We love to have fun and laugh.  Supper around our table is a pretty wild time, between the three of us.

8)  We eat supper together at the table every night. We use cloth place mats and napkins and hold hands to say grace. Don't get me wrong though, f@rting, burping, and laughing are always runnin' rampant! :oD

9)  The Man was at the infamous 1991 riot at the Guns and Roses concert at Riverport.  He was so mad 'cuz Axl was singing Rocket Queen (one of his most favorites) when he threw down the microphone and stormed off stage.  We still love classic G N' R though, and no 80's rocker can compare to W. Axl Rose!

10)  The first 6 years of our marriage we slept in a 3/4 bed.  That is bigger than a twin, but smaller than a full/double.  It's now The Youngun's bed.

11)  The Man has been beside me through my ups and downs with weight over the past 15 years and has always made me feel sexy, desirable and like an excellent specimen of womanhood.  I can't even express how sexy that makes him....and he's really sexy anyway!

12)  I've never met somethin' I couldn't cook and he's never met a motor he couldn't take apart and put back together (pre-computerized of course)

13)  He said I looked like Janis Joplin on our wedding day.  That's the biggest compliment he could give because he thinks Janis is the bees knees!

14)   I've had three wedding rings.  They keep breaking!  The first set we got fixed three times and it broke again so I just put it up and started wearing a twisted silver and copper band.  Then it broke so The Man bought me a new set for Christmas.  It's missing a diamond but is showing no signs of breakage.  We also don't buy expensive jewelry.  My first and last set came from Wal-trash and the braided band was 15 bucks from Silver Dollar City.  I loved it and want to buy another one if we go back.

15)  The Man has 7 tattoos and I have 5.  We each have a web on our left shoulder with The Youngun's name in it.

Vacation.........and The Hidden Evils of Honeysuckle......

Hubster has been on vacation this week.  He's been getting lots of stuff done, but I've been pretty much worthless.  I've got some sort of sinus muck going on.  I'm not really sure what it is, but my equilibrium is totally off.  It feels like my brain is swimming around in my skull instead of attached like it ought to be!  I've been to the doc (because of the dizziness) and they said I've got fluid in my ears and some nasal irritation.  I'm taking OTC sinus meds but the dizziness and disconnection aren't going away.

Anyhow, today Hubby took me to town to get my supplies for Thanksgiving.  I'm not comfortable driving in my current state........LOL!

Here are some pictures of my handsome man workin' 'round the place.  I never tire of takin' pictures of him, even though he gets tired of being my model!

You can tell in this picture he was thinking......Lord a mercy woman stop with the camera!!  He is working on clearing honeysuckle from the back of our pasture.  Honeysuckle is evil and don't let anybody convince you otherwise.  At least here in our neck of the woods it is.  This stuff is almost impossible to kill and like kudzu in the south it will take over everything if you don't stay on top of it.  When we first bought this place it had totally choked the creek.  It was when we started clearing the honeysuckle that we found all the scrap.  I'm happy to report that the creek is almost totally cleared of scrap after 6 years of living here!

He has been clearing and burning and cleaning and now the back of our pasture looks like a park.  It is so lovely!
Above is back in September......

This is the same area now.  There are some huge old trees back there that we didn't even realize how big they were because of all the scrub growing around them.  This will also allow more grass to grow for Champ to eat.

And don't worry, there is still plenty of brush for these two to eat.......

The creek banks are covered in honeysuckle and other browse that Tulip and Star LOVE to eat.  There is so much scrub brush that even when I had 11 goats they couldn't make a dent in it.  As you can imagine with just these two lovely girls they have their work cut out for them.  Star is in the background and Tulip is in the foreground.

Last but not least, I have to mention this girl...........

Have I told you all lately how much joy this dog brings me??  Yes we have 4 dogs and I love them all, but this is my dog and I adore her.  The Hub-Unit tells me all the time it's a good thing we only have one kid. The way I favor Ellie over the other dogs, if we had more than one child I'd be sure to favor one over the other!  ;)

God Bless............

Finding My Bliss............It's Been MIA for Awhile......

Now that The Crisis has passed and things are settling down I'm finding my bliss again.  It's really been gone for a loooong time and I didn't realize it until recently.  I think getting so overwhelmed with my critter situation is what brought it on as well as some other issues that I may or may not blog about at a later time.

I've come to understand that God didn't want us to move, he just wanted us to sloooow dowwwwnn.  We can be a little dense sometimes (especially me) and I'm always so focused on figuring out what God wants us to do that I can be a little overzealous at times.  (No kidding Goodwife??  You??).  I went through a pretty serious identity crisis and I have no freakin' clue what that was caused by.  I suppose it could be my 30's, my family history, my weight crisis.  Who knows and I don't think the why of it matters so much as the outcome.  I'm working really hard on finding me again.  There is a song by Miranda Lambert that is really speaking to me at this time.  It's called The House That Built Me, and I love it..  It almost moves me to tears everytime I hear it and that's a lot cuz it's on my ipod.  I was just listening to it a bit ago while I was building my character (scooping poop) and I was inspired to write this blog post.  For some reason I've been denying who I am lately and I'm taking steps to change that.  Getting back to my roots of who I really truly am.

Me and Champ, about 5 years ago.
I love horses.  I've loved horses my entire life.  It's an odd relationship that is directly related to my struggles to lose weight, but that's probably way more psycho-babble than you are prepared to read, but I will say that being heavy has made me feel unworthy in regards to horses.  Anywho.........I've been trying to convince myself for the last few years that I'm "over" this love.  HA!  Not even close and that takes away a large part of my bliss.  I'm the ONLY SINGLE PERSON in my family who has this sad affliction.  I'm not just talking about my little family of 3, I'm talking about my extended family.  Now some of you may know that The Man and I don't do things seperately on the weekend.  That's good and I won't change that for anything.  That said, I need to ride, I need to play with my pony, I need to smell him, and feed him carrots, and brush him and when I don't a little part of me dies.  A little part of me has been dead for awhile now.  I'm bringin' her back to life though.  My old man Champ is a partial nutball and I can't ride him down the road.  That and not having a trailer greatly limits my riding (since you can cover 5 acres on a horse in about 5 minutes!)  I do have neighbors though and if I wasn't such a dumbass I could ask them if I could ride.  I've decided to stop being a dumbass..........  I'm going to ask if I can ride the edges of their fields and find my bliss.

The Man is finding his bliss as well.  My husband wants water.  He's always wanted water.  We've discussed buying a lake lot, moving to the lake, moving to Florida, anything to get him on water.  When we got back from Florida he said "Ya know, I'm standing here looking at our place and I'm thinking...if I had a pond full of catfish here, would I want to move?  The answer is no."  This week we've got a guy coming to give us a bid on a small pond, and BAM, The Man has his bliss as well!

The Youngun will have her bliss as long as she's got her Granny and Pop Pop, her Darling Auntie, and her Cousin L.  With us staying here, she will not be taken away from them and that's another beautiful thing.

We are committed to slowing things down. Rome wasn't built in a day and our little projects don't have to be completed in a day either.  We have a beautiful place but we are so frantically working on it, that we never take time to just enjoy it!

God is good, and I'm so thankful that no matter how stupid, selfish, corn-fuzed, or messed up we get, He's still good and He's still there!

Now go find your Bliss, or if you haven't lost it, go enjoy it!!  ;)

God Bless.........

The Weekend Report...........

Saturday.....
I love watching The Man and The Youngun' together.  My folks came down on Saturday for a visit and I went with my mom to walk her dog.  When I came back I found them together in the garage, potting the cactus he bought for her.

Doesn't look a bit like her Daddy does she??
Then about 5 pm we were out doing chores early and the tornado siren blew.  We went to the house and watched out the door.  It was a very fast moving storm.  The Youngun was scared but we said a prayer, and remembered that God is always with us!  All we wound up with was this....

Thankfully, no damage!

Sunday......

Now that I'm milking again we have plenty of milk for making ice cream!  When my girls are in milk, we make homemade ice cream 'bout every two weeks.  The Man isn't much of a dessert eater, but he does like a bowl of ice cream every night after supper.  Since we've been without milk since October, we've had to buy store ice cream and it just doesn't hold a candle to the real thing!  On Saturday I mixed the ice cream up and put it in the fridge.  Sunday afternoon we got out the White Mountain!  I have to confess to you that I'm a total ice cream snob.  You just can't make good homemade ice cream without a hand cranked freezer.  It may be easier to just plug 'er in and let 'er go, but it sure doesn't make near as good ice cream.  Besides, The Man and I enjoy sitting out on the back stoop taking turns cranking and eating salty ice.  Today however, it was very windy and rainy so we made it in the garage!

Pouring the mix into the freezer...
Ready to freeze.....
Goodwife cranking.........
The Man cranking......

Yummy, rich, creamy ice cream!

This time we made cookies and cream.  We usually make different varieties each time.  Sometimes it's cookies and cream, sometimes it's peanut butter cup, or strawberry, or chocolate malt, or chocolate chip cookie dough, and sometimes it's plain ole vanilla.  Whatever type we make it's always good!

Here's hoping you had a good weekend full of thankfulness and grace!

Till next time..........God Bless

14 years.........

14 Years ago today, I became a wife.  Before God I stood up and declared from this moment on, just as the Bible says in Genesis; chapter 2, verse 24, I would be one flesh with this man.  Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.  There are so many places in the Bible that refer to marriage and how it should be, but this is the first one.  Marriage is important and I take it very seriously.  It is important enough that woman is created in verse 22 and the first Biblical law regarding marriage is mentioned in verse 24.  When I talk to The Youngun about marriage, we talk about this verse.  I tell her.......If you don't love the man enough to leave your Daddy and me, then he just isn't the right one to be marryin'!  Marriage is forever and you need to choose your partner very wisely.  I pray for her future husband all the time.  I pray that she will have the good sense to wait until God sends her the right man, and not to get married just because.

Anywho, 14 years ago today I became Mrs. Man and they've been 14 good, good years.  What's that?  You want to hear the story of how this all came about?  Well pull up a chair, getcha some tea, and here we go!

Our story begins way back in June of 1995.  I had just graduated high school and my dad decided for me that I needed to get a job........as in he came in the living room one morning and said GET A JOB......TODAY!  LOL!  So I waltzed into the IGA store an unemployed high school graduate, fresh faced and eager, and waltzed out an 18 year old with a full time job, complete with benefits!  Have you figured out yet that God had a hand in this from the beginning?

I worked in the deli there at the IGA with a lot of really fun older (than me) ladies.  The meat department manager was a guy named Mike, and let me tell you he was a BEAR!  The other ladies didn't like dealing with him, so they decided to send the new meat back there to get the chicken each day.  I would bounce back there all perky and happy and just let his grouchiness bounce right off me.  After all, I grew up with the grouchiest person on the planet (DAD)!  There was this other fella that worked in the meat department, and he was younger, cuter, and not near as grouchy, but it was a little while before I really noticed him.

About a month after I started working there, I developed this crush on the produce guy, a kid of about 19 named Casey.  I was trying everything I knew to get Casey to like me, but he just wasn't bitin', not at all.  We would talk and that sort of thing, but he wasn't interested in me romantically.  I spent alot of time in the produce room, which was adjacent to the meat room and at that time, just happened to be where everybody went for smoke breaks.  I didn't smoke, but I wanted to be wherever Casey was so I was back there a lot.

Then this little blond meat guy started coming up to the deli every morning as soon as he got to work to buy a fountain Mt. Dew.  My ever so helpful older co-workers always made sure that I rang him out.  Me being the friendly sort asked him his name and then every morning I would say Hi! ----!  He would blush a little, and grin, and say hi back.  This went on for several months, until we were into winter time.

In late December, Casey had a birthday.  I was still trying so hard to get him to like me (poor thing), so on my day off, I baked him a spice cake, and set off in a blizzard to bring it to him.  Every day at work, I wore my IGA polo, with a ball cap on and my ponytail through the back.  So this day I got myself all dolled up, hair curled, make-up on, the whole nine yards just so Casey could see how good I cleaned up.  I took that cake back in the back and said Happy Birthday.  He wouldn't even eat a piece of it.  As a matter of fact, he told me to lose 40 lbs and come back.  Nice fella huh??  Well The Man happened to be sitting back there smokin' a cigarette and he came over to see the cake.  When Casey said he wouldn't eat it, The Man said......I'll eat it!!  And he proceeded to eat about half of it.  After that we started talking pretty regularly, and he was trying to get Casey to take an interest in me.  Meanwhile, one of the older meat guys stopped me one day as I was walking past the meat case.  He said........We sure do tease him about you!  I said........Why?  And he said........Cause he's got a really jealous girlfriend who'd kill him for talking to you.  I was horrified!  I said..........Well I'll quit talking to him then!  I don't want to cause him any trouble!  And Mac said.........Don't you dare!  He'd kill us if you quit talking to him.  It makes his day!

Along about the end of December '95, first of January '96 The Man and I started talking about deeper stuff.  Hopes, dreams, life goals, morals.  We talked about the relationship he was in and how it wasn't good.  I asked him.........Don't you want to get married?  His reply........Not to her.  Don't you want kids?  Not with her.  That made me unbearably sad and I asked him why he didn't end the relationship.  He said Cause I buy a dog when it's a puppy and I keep it till it dies.......That may sound corny to you, but that spoke of a deep commitment to relationships to me and again made me very sad for him.

Mid January 1996, I was talking about my birthday coming up.  The Man came to work one day and said, You wanna go out for your birthday?  Me being the ever so sophisticated one said suspiciously.......With who?   See I knew he had a little brother and thought he was trying to fix me up with him.  He said.....With me.   To which I tartly replied....Not as long as you are living with that girl!

The Man came to work the next day and told me he moved out of his house and would I go out with him on January 30 (my 19th birthday).  I said yes.

Meanwhile he had a time getting her to move out and accept that things were finally really over this time.  It took 3 days and he had to stay at his folks the whole entire time.  Unbeknownst to me at the time, he had already went and bought an engagement ring during those three days, before we ever went on our first date.

January 25, 1996 The Man asked me if I would like to spend our day off together and go visit his grandparents.  I said sure, at this time still thinking this is just a casual date.  We spent the day together and had our first kiss on the way home that afternoon.  That evening when he took me home he told me he loved me.  I said.......excuse me?  He said he loved me and I told him he was 7 kinds of crazy.  He said.....no I'm not, I love you.  I thought he was nuttier than a pet coon!  Good gracious, who says I love you before you've ever even had a real date??  I also thought he only wanted in my pants and I told him so.  He said.........no, I love you.  I said.......What if I don't say it back?  He said........That's ok, I'll wait till you do.

I fell in love with that crazy 23 year old boy right then and there.  I loved him because he loved me first and that is a beautiful thing.

January 30, 1996 I had to work in the morning and got a dozen roses delivered to the deli that morning.  After I got off work, I went home, cleaned up, packed a bag and informed my mama that I wasn't coming home.  She was so wonderful about it.  She said to me, I knew when it happened for you it was gonna happen fast and I'm so happy for you.  The Man picked me up, we had a flat tire, went to Steak n Shake, went back to his house and snuggled on the couch together.  From that moment on, in 14 years, we've never spent a night apart.  I'd also like to say (even thought it totally falls under the category of TMI), that we did not consumate our relationship until our wedding night.  Remaining a virgin until marriage was always a huge priority to me and The Man knew and respected that.  We got married on March 30, 1996 exactly 2 months after our first date, but in my heart I was his wife the first night I spent in his arms.

Our marriage is rock solid because we put God first.  We look to Him for guidance in every thing.  I strive to be a good wife, a wife that is a loving helpmate, supportive, kind, and generous.  The Man is exactly the husband the Bible says he should be, a good provider, the head of our household, and he cherishes me.  He doesn't use flowery words, or expensive gifts, instead he shows his love in the ways that really matter, never leaving the house without kissing me and saying I love you, showing me respect when I'm with him and even when I'm not.  He would never be out with the guys and discuss another woman, or flirt with a waitress.  He even gets teased about that from the other guys.  We are completely open and vulnerable with each other, we have no secrets from each other.  We don't believe in "girls night" or "boys night out".  We married each other because we love each other and love being together.  We are apart for the 12-14 hours a day that he works, and that's enough!!

I lost a friendship with a woman who simply couldn't respect my marriage.  It bothered her no end that we did everything together.  She liked to tell me I needed a life of my own.  As I stated in the beginning of this post.........when I married The Man we became One Flesh.  I can't have a "life of my own" because without him, I'm half a person.  I joined my life with his and we became one life and that's the way I like it and the way I want it.  I don't force my views on others........you can have whatever kind of marriage you want and I'll respect it.  I may not understand it, I may not agree with it, but I'll respect it.  All I ask is that people respect my marriage as well.

It's been an amazing 14 years!  I love The Man so much that I can't even put it into words.  He is my lover, my husband, my brother, my best friend in the world.  When something exciting/scary/funny/great happens he is the first person I want to tell and I thank God every day for sending us to each other.   I could go on and on, but since you've probably already fallen asleep at the computer, I'd better stop for now.

Till next time...........GOD BLESS

Well The Dodge is back in the shop. I know you are having heart palpitations for fear that things aren't well and that's good, cuz they aren't! After having the motor rebuilt (twice but who's counting) it is still making a disconcerting KA-THUNK for lack of a better description. So.......The Man took it to a shop to have it Dyno-ed and to have the carburetor fine tuned. The news isn't good.  After being examined by no less than FIVE heart surgeons, their unanimous decision is............I don't know.  Hmmmmm........so we are off tomorrow with Mr. Neighbor's trailer to pick it up.  Then we have to pull the motor again and take it back to the shop again, so they can take it apart again.......are you starting to see a pattern here?  We can't believe there is anything too major wrong with it because of how strong it runs.  The guy that built it is now thinking maybe it has a collapsed piston.  If that is true, then it is only running on 7 cylinders.........and what that means is when The Coronet is feeling good, he's gonna be one scary Mopar!!

I'm hopeful that this isn't going to cost a fortune..........if so we might just have to have it put down. It may be the only humane thing to do!  The Man and I are thinking a big block Chevy is lookin' more and more attractive, cuz even though they don't have near the power of a big block Mopar, a big block Chevy that runs will sure as heck beat a big block Mopar that don't!

Here's a video that we made this past weekend...........hope you enjoy!

Till next time............GOD BLESS

Remember Clover?............

Remember this post from awhile back?  Well Little Miss Clover has gotten to be a big ole grown up rabbit!  The Youngun is still in love with her and the feeling is still mutual.  The Youngun takes Clover for walks around the homestead, lays on the sill with Clover on her chest and tells her stories.

Friday evening The Youngun and I were coming in from the barn after our last check of Star for the night.  It was a beautiful evening, the stars were out, the moon was near full and the sky was crystal clear.  We were walking up to the house talking about the stars.  As we were at the back door taking off our mud boots The Youngun said to me...

....Mama, is it wrong that I like animals better than people?  I said.........No it isn't.  Animals will never hurt you, never lie to you, never cheat, or steal.  You always know where you stand with animals.  She said.........Good cause I do like animals better than most people.

Bless that child's heart.  I love that little girl so very much.  I can't even describe the love I feel for her.  She is so kind, compassionate, sensitive, and savvy among other things.  She "gets it" more so than most adults I know.  She's an old soul and I'm very thankful that God chose The Paintiff and I to be her parents.

Till next time.............GOD BLESS FROM GOODWIFE FARM!

More About The Ongoing Tragedy of The Dodge...........

Ok........so where we last left The Man , he had discovered some disturbing news about the Coronet. The good news is, the motor is at the shop getting a new top end and should be done by the end of next week. This makes The Man one happy boy!
This also makes The Man one happy boy.....

That's a bran'smackin' new steering wheel, horn ring, and horn button for the Coronet. It is replacing the original cracked steering wheel that was missing the ring and horn button. The original steering wheel was red, but The Man ordered a black one from Paddock to match his black and red interior.

My mom did all the upholstery work on this car by the way, and The Man and I painted it. We're pretty darned proud of it! You can see a bit of the seats in this picture and you can see the ratty old steering wheel.
The Dodge is a 1966 Coronet. It has a 440 with a mild cam, aluminum heads, a Holley 750 double pumper carb and runs about 500 horses. She's a screamin' machine and we have lots of fun in her!
I'll leave you with a short video, showing what we do when we take her out cruisin'! We also have a video on YouTube, if you want to check that one out. I'll be making more videos once we get the motor and the new tranny back in her. Then all we will be lacking is a new rear end and possibly frame stiffeners! ;)
Till next time..............GOD BLESS FROM GOODWIFE FARM!

Oh Woe is The Man.............

Uh oh.......The Man looks a bit upset!  What could have prompted this look of utter disgust you say?  Well lets look around and see if we can find any clues.........
Hmmm....this looks like a clue here.  Does anybody know why you would take the hood off a hot rod?  Anyone.........Bueller.........anyone?
Ahhhhh, we have found the reason Grasshopper......What you are looking at is a head.......it's part of a motor, a rather important part.  See that green stuff down there pooled in the bottom?  Yeah......that's not supposed to be there.  That my little friends is antifreeze, which is supposed to be safely encased INSIDE the block, not up there mingling with the oil that lubes the heads!  This is what the head SHOULD look like
This is the head on the other side.  The nice oily-non-antifreezy head!

What does all this gear head talk mean you ask?  Well what it means is that my $&#^@@!! kitchen is going to be put on hold because the freakin' DODGE has a cracked head and we have to spend 1800 BUCKS on new ones!!!!  That's what it means!!!  But don't worry, I'm not bitter, I'm not bitter at all.....

So while The Man was busy turnin' wrenches getting ready to pull the motor, I amused myself in this fashion.....

Isn't my baby handsome??

Till next time.................GOD BLESS FROM GOODWIFE FARM!
