the Goodwife Speaks.....................

So Nicole over at That's Life did a vlog post about how you say certain words.  I thought it sounded pretty fun so I'm doing it too and I hope those of you who have the time and the inclination will participate as well.  It reminds me a bit of my contest about What the Heck is She Talkin' Bout?

You all know I'm a hillbilly and this should confirm it.  I also should've watched Nicole's before I did it because I explained myself after each word, which turns out wasn't part of the project.  That said, you all know I like to take the long way 'round the trailer park anytime I tell a story so you shouldn't be suprised that I'm like that in real life!  Anywho, here goes!

My gracious!
update.............  I'm such a dork, I forgot to put the list of words and questions..........no suprise here huh?

Aunt, Route, Wash, Oil, Theater, Iron, Salmon, Caramel, Fire, Water, Sure, Data, Ruin, Crayon, Toilet, New Orleans, Pecan, Both, Again, Probably, Spitting image, Alabama, Lawyer, Coupon, Mayonnaise, Syrup, Pajamas, Caught

What is it called when you throw toilet paper on a house?

What is the bug that when you touch it, it curls into a ball?

What is the bubbly carbonated drink called?

What do you call gym shoes?

What do you say to address a group of people?

What do you call the kind of spider that has an oval-shaped body and extremely long legs?

What do you call your grandparents?

What do you call the wheeled contraption in which you carry groceries at the supermarket?

What do you call it when rain falls while the sun is shining?

What is the thing you change the TV channel with?

God Bless....................

  2. Ha, that's good stuff. It's also neat to put a voice with the words I read nearly everyday! Where is the link for the post to get the words/questions or did you make them up yourself? I wanna try if I can get enough storage on my camera. . .

  9. Don't be chicken, come on, do it, do it! I like to see the way people's faces move when they talk. I don't think you can get a picture of what somebody really looks like without seeing a moving picture.

  12. lol and this is why I say i am from NORTHERN Illinois...lol there really is such a huge difference from what part of the state you come from in Illinois!

I have a northern Illinois accent - a mix of Wisconsin and Iowa, long vowels, short consonants..Boat is pronounced "Bo-oh-t, we drink "p-ah-p", and a water fountain is a "bu-ah-bbler" lol

  13. LOL! It is funny! I'm in the very southern part of central Illinois and folks up north talk so funny to me. My cousin Mass-a-Ash moved to Massachusetts and to hear her talk cracks us up!!
