Aww such a sweet hen.........wonder what she's doin?
Well lookie, lookie! Such a sweet widdul, biddul!
"Geez Ma, what's that bright light?? I'm not even dry yet!"
Remember Clover? Well she's a Mama herself now! 4 strong healthy babies were born yesterday.
Another form of new life! The Youngun says, soon we'll have little potatoes runnin' around as well as chicks and bunnies!
And finally a pic of my girl Ellie. How I love this dog! She's the dog I've waited my entire life for and I adore her.
Till next time........God Bless!
Go Clover!
ReplyDeleteDo the chickens lose their broodiness if you touch them to check on the eggs? I touched a hen once while she was broody and that was all it took for her to leave her eggs. I felt really bad.
Ahhhhh! They are so cute! I miss my little broody silkies. Youcould pick them up and check things.Put them back and they fussed and clucked at us. THen stole all the eggs that the other hens would lay to try sitting on them. I never was ableto let them hatch out babies because the dog on that farm we managed got them.. I was sooo soo upset when they disappeared.
ReplyDeleteawwww...lots of eggs under her I see. I just had a broody hatch some out too, but just a few. We are expecting some ordered chickies by mail in a couple weeks.
ReplyDeleteCute bunny babies ya got too!
Congrats! I had the hardest time last year trying to get my one broody hen to hatch some babies. All was going well until about 15 days and then she ATE the eggs! So I gave up on that batch of hens. . . maybe the next batch I raise will have some good mommies in it . . .
ReplyDeleteYour place is BOOMING with babies! Great job!
