They're Here!! They're Here!!

So this morning, Star didn't eat her breakfast, and her ligaments were totally gone.....

I knew it would be today.

The Youngun got up and said.....

"Mama, I'm really not....."

And I said....

"Good, why don't you stay home and keep an eye on Star!!"

So she did, and I"m glad because I got email updates all day for when this happened...

Three huge babies!!  All healthy, all sassy and all too sweet to believe!

We've got two doelings....

The doelings together, they are still wet, so you can't see much....

Until she's dried off!  This is Merida and I'm in love with her already.....She's my keeper doe!

And this is the other doeling, who is quite precious in her own right, and has a really SUPER cute face...
She will be going to Jennifer at Our Little Farm.

And a HUGE buckling....
Look how big this hunk is!  He's already almost half as tall as his momma!

So Star did great, and The Youngun did great for her first time mid-wifing a goat!

I'll leave you with a few more pictures....

Merida and Momma

Jen's baby...

Merida having a snack...

Again with an eating Merida...

Sometimes a gal is just too tall and needs to lay down while eating....

Jen's fancy little girl....

Hunk Papa is tired from the being born and all...

Me telling Star what an EXCELLENT job she did....

And finally Merida and I sharing the first of many kisses to come!!

Thank you Lord for healthy babies, and for this life you've given us!!

Till next time.....

God Bless,

  7. My husband couldn't get on with keeping goats, but I think that in a year or so I might try and encourage him to have another go at keeping one or two. But three! In one go. Crikey, now that is a real gem of a goat you have there!

    1. Thanks Vera! I think you should try again, but of course I'm biased, because I love goats! I think the key is finding the "right" goat. You've got to find the one with the personality that you like, and then it's just a joy!

  8. I should mention that if you want a handsome spotted Kinder buckling to keep the spots coming, I have several adorable choices available. :)

    3. Thanks Leigh! I actually have a buck, that little Nigerian that we call Ollie. But it would be nice to have a spotted Kinder buck. I'll think about it and pray about it, and talk with The Man about it and will keep your email! :) Thanks!
