Just a quick note to let you all know I'm still alive. I'm takin' a much needed and rather refreshing technology break and it feels great. Sometimes I get too wrapped up in bloggin' about life instead of livin' life! First thing I'd do in the morning was turn the computer on and I was readin' blogs before even doin' chores! Not good. For whatever reason, I lost my desire to even turn the computer on and I'm goin' with it.
I've been sewin' my brains out and we've got some little Muscovy ducklings in the chicken house. My chicks will be here in a couple weeks and a couple weeks after that Star will be kidding. We bought a little 14' fishing boat and are enjoying that very much. The maiden voyage of "Catfish Hunter" netted me a 5 1/2 # channel cat and The Man an 8 pounder! We've also been findin' the heck out of morels, and getting them in the freezer for future use.
No garden as the weather isn't cooperating. I'm trying not to freak out about that and figure it will get in when it gets in!
Thanks to all of you who've emailed to make sure I'm ok, and I hope you aren't mad at me for not bloggin'. I'm just enjoying the spring weather!
I hope you are all fit and sassy and enjoying bein' alive!
God Bless......................
Good on ya!
ReplyDeleteI've only found 4 morels but they were right in my front yard!
I'm so jealous of the ducks. I've wanted some for awhile (and turkeys) but they'd be coyote/dog bait around here. :(
I'm glad you are doing OK! I didn't know however that you could freeze Merals (sp)... You may have to let me know how some day :)

ReplyDeleteGlad you're enjoying Spring! I can't even imagine having enough morels to put any in the freezer. That's amazing! I used to find enough for several dinners, but I haven't seen any here on the new farm. Enjoy!

Mmmmm, morels! They used to grow in my field where I grew up and we ate them for spring scrambles at breakfast!
ReplyDeleteGlad you're ok, and I totally understand getting wrapped up online and before you know it, half your day is gone!!
ReplyDeleteLove morels, but they make both me and my son ill :(
I'm missin your posts! Are you done with your vacation?
ReplyDeleteHope you are resting up and I totally understand the need to back off technology.
It is so easy to get lost in blog land and let others things wait. New chicks are growing here as well..........I can't wait until they are big enough to join the others in the barnyard. Have a good break and enjoy every thing around you! G. Rooster
ReplyDeleteI picked Morrels when I was in Montana last week then fried them...yum!!!!
